Bernadine R. Gee

Bernadine R. Gee, 90, a resident of Crawford County Care Center, Saegertown, since January 1994, died there Saturday, February 8, 1997, after a period of declining health.

She was born in Meadville, August 7, 1906, a daughter of Albert and Arminta Cotton Poole.  She married Spencer E. Gee, November 26, 1931, and he preceded her in death June 6, 1989.

She was a graduate of South Shenango High School and had attended Edinboro State Normal School.  She taught school for several years, and after her family was raised, she did substitute teaching in the Meadville Schools.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church and its KJU Sunday School Class.  She had belonged to the Kiwanis Ladies Club and the Meadville City Hospital Aux.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. John (Wilma) Davis of Conneaut Lake and Mrs. James (Carolyn) Gilles of Export and three grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Jack Davis; a sister, Rena Irons and a brother, Charles Poole.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
