Bernice Anna Chatley

Bernice Anna Chatley, 80, of Vernon Township, died Saturday, November 3, 1984, at Grace Nursing Center of Wesbury United Methodist Community following an extended illness.

She was born at Sandy Lake Township, Mercer County, April 2, 1904, a daughter of Judson and Nancy Butterfield Vogan.  She married Wallace J. Chatley September 2, 1927.

She was a member of United Presbyterian Church of the Redeemer and a former Sunday school teacher.

Survivors in addition to her husband include a son, Herbert D. Chatley of Meadville; a daughter, Mrs. Warren (Marian) Phillips of Conneaut Lake; a sister, Mrs. Mary Gilliland of Utica; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in New Lebanon Cemetery.
