Bernice S. (Bernie) Ferguson

September 4, 1924 — December 26, 1998

Bernice S. (Bernie) Ferguson, 74, of Conneaut Lake, died Saturday, December 26, 1998, at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

She was born in Gulford, NY, September 4, 1924, a daughter of Fred and Erma Schofield Scott.  She married Williams S. Ferguson, Jr., November 10, 1945 in Oakland, CA.  He survives.

She was secretary-treasurer of Lakeside Water Co. for many years.  She was secretary-treasurer of Ferguson Construction for 50 years.

She served with the US Navy as a dental assistant during World War II.

She was a member of the Crawford County Unit of the American Cancer Society; past member of Conneaut Lake PTA.

She was a member of Fifth Street Presbyterian Church where she was a former Sunday school teacher and choir member.

She enjoyed and loved her family.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include three daughters, Mrs. Susan Nicklas (John), Mrs. Patricia Ferguson-Smith (Michael) and Pamela A. Ferguson, all of Conneaut Lake; a son, Richard S. Ferguson (Pamela) of Conneaut Lake; four grandchildre, Scott, Brian, Stacey and Bradley; a sister, Mrs. Frank (Muriel) Musician of Lebanon, NY and a brother, Herbert Scott of Lebanon.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Juanita Wratten and a brother, Richard Scott.

Services were held at Waid-Coleman Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
