Bertha Clark Sayre

January 10, 1882 — January 1, 1753

Mrs. Bertha Clark Sayre, wife of George Sayre, died Sunday evening at her home in Meadville.

Formerly of Richmond Township, she had lived in Meadville for 16 years and was for 14 years head cook at Cochran Hall, Allegheny College, before retiring two years ago.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, W. Ellis Sayre of Meadville and Duane G. Sayre, at home; three grandchildren; two great-grandhildren and two brothers, David Clark of Cochranton and Dennis L. Clark of Meadville.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Lyona Cemetery.
