Bessie E. Hudson

Bessie E. Hudson, 87, died Thursday, May 24, 1973, at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Wilfred (Wilma) Smith, of Meadville, with whom she had been living.  She had been ill for several months.

She was born at Green Bank, WV, July 18, 1885, a daughter of Henry and Rachael Gillespie Sheets.  She was the widow of Jesse A. Hudson who died in 1963.  They were married December 22, 1908.

Besides Mrs. Smith, she is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Alex (Jewell) Nugent, Richmond, VA; a son, Burke W. Hudson of Meadville; a sister, Mrs. Minnie Ervin of Meadville; and four grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Kiser Hill Cemetery.
