Beth Ellen Corey

Beth Ellen Corey, 43, residing at 16966 Rt. 6 & 19, Saegertown died Wednesday, March 27, 2002 at the Meadville Medical Center.

Beth was born in Meadville, September 13, 1958, a daughter of Wayne G. and Twila McKay Corey.

She graduated from Maplewood West (Randolph) High School in 1976 and chose Nursing Assistance as a career.  She worked at the Crawford County Care Center, Saegertown.

Beth enjoyed travel and meeting people.  Thus, she and her companion of 14 years, Ken Gerber, traveled throughout the United States while Ken was in the dairy farm business.  They eventually settled in Colorado Springs, CO, where Beth worked at the Mountain View Care Center.  Beth leaves many friends behind.

She is survived by her mother, Twila Corey of Saegertown; two sisters, Judy Corey of Meadville and Debra Maloney and her husband Mike of Meadville; two brothers, Steve Corey and his wife Kim of Cochranton and Eric Corey and his wife Becky of Youngsville, NC; her close friend and companion Becky Watkins Sheridan of Saegertown and eight nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved.  Beth was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Corey; paternal grandparents, James and Nora Corey and maternal grandparents, Hugh and Alice McKay.

The memorial service will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Hamlin Chapel, State Rt. #198, Coons Coroners with the Rev. John Brown, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial be made to Hospice of Crawford County, 448 Pine Street, Meadville, PA 16335.
