Betty C. Halloran, 87, of 338 Ben Avon St., Meadville, died Monday, July 07, 2003 at the Crawford County Care Center.
She was born July 15, 1915 in Avoca, PA, a daughter of the late Ambrose and Elizabeth Owens Halloran.
She was a graduate of the Avoca Public Schools and a 1947 graduate of the Elim Bible Institute, Hornell, NY. She worked at Hanover Industries in Newark, NJ. She taught Sunday School for 53 years in Avoca, Bound Brook, NJ, and at Emmanuel Church in Elizabeth, NJ. She lived in Roselle Park, NJ for 31 years before moving to Meadville in 1996. She loved children and pets.
She attended the First Assembly of God Church, Meadville.
Survivors include two cousins, Jean Prutzman and her husband Kenneth of Meadville and David Paterson and his wife Theresa of Meadville. She was preceded in death by an adopted son, Warren (A.J.) Halloran and two brothers, Ambrose and Robert Halloran.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.
A funeral service will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Philip Torre, Pastor of the First Assembly of God Church officiating.
Burial will be in Greendale Cemetery.
