Betty J. Eves

Betty J. Eves, 84, formerly of Meadville and a resident of St. Paul Homes, Greenville, died there Tuesday, June 9, 2009.

She was born in Meadville March 6, 1925 a daughter of John and Eunice Roberts Bruce.  She married Robert A. Eves June 21, 1947 and he preceded her in death May 14, 1994

She was the office manager for Dr. Hendrik Dekriuf for many years.  She was a 1943 graduate of Meadville High School, enjoyed gardening, card playing and was an avid golfer.  She was a member of Stone United Methodist Church.

Survivors, include: a daughter, Connie Peters and her husband Cliff of Stoneboro; a son, R. Scott Eves and his wife Kathleen of Meadville; five grandchildren, Lisa St. Aubyn and her husband Robert of Cleveland, Adrian Eves of Pittsburgh, Lindsay Gorski and her husband Rick of Cleveland, Jeff Jewell of Stoneboro and Tammy Kaltenbaugh and her husband Chad of Saegertown; ten great grandchildren, Samantha Jewell, Grace Jewell, Devin Kaltenbaugh, Caden Kaltenbaugh, Philip Robert St. Aubyn, Taylor Mackenzie St. Aubyn, Camren Tyler Eves, Andrew Richard Gorski, Lauren Kathleen Gorski and Natalie Eve Gorski and a sister-in-law, Joan Thomas and her husband Robert of Cortland, OH.

Calling hours will be Saturday from 11:30 – 1:30 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.  The funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Harter, Chaplain of Family Hospice and Palliative Care, officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
