Betty Joann Lippert

Betty (JoAnn) Lippert, 78, of Meadville passed away Monday, July 26, 2021 at the Marquette Hospice House. She was born at home in Kennerdell, PA March 23, 1943 a daughter of Joseph C. and Effie Case Myers. She married Ronald W. Lippert April 3, 1964. Ron died on her birthday, March 23, 2021. They were married 55 years and raised three wonderful sons: Ronald W. Lippert, Jr. (Nancy) of Centerville, John J. Lippert (Julie) of Saegertown and Robert A. Lippert (Teresa) of Saegertown. They were blessed with five grandchildren, Kristina Hershberger (Josh), Arron Lippert (Jess), Cody Lippert (Tara), Garrett Lippert (Kiersten) and Riley Lippert (Nicole) and three great grandchildren, Russell, Roslynn and Nora. She also had two nieces, Deb Stallard (Mike) and Leora McClymonds (Troy) and three nephews, James Hancox, Steve Myers and Tim Myers. She was very proud of her precious family. JoAnn graduated from Randolph East Mead High School in 1962 and she worked in the Dietary Dept. of the former Meadville City Hospital until staying at home to take care of her family. She enjoyed camping, bird watching, jigsaw puzzles, crosswords, Sudoku and crypto-quotes. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Zoey Hershberger and eight siblings. Life was cut short by cancer and she will miss her family tremendously. They have gone above and beyond taking care of their parents. She will be sadly missed by the entire family, as she was loved by all. The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers at Marquette Hospice House for all their wonderful care. A private family graveside service will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Marshall Lillie, Hospice Chaplain, officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Hospice of Crawford County (for the Marquette Hospice House), 766 Liberty Street, Meadville, PA 16335.
