Betty Louise (Fritz) Lyle

Betty Louise (Fritz) Lyle, 84, of  Syracuse, NY and formerly of Meadville, died Saturday, February 22, 2003 at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse, NY.

She was born September 27, 1918 in Hawthorne, a daughter of the late Frank and Pearl Miller Fritz.

She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the former Meadville City Hospital, retiring in 1980.  She lived in Meadville for 34 years and Syracuse for 3 years.  She attended Grace United Methodist Church, Meadville.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Vicki Lyle of Syracuse, NY and Susan Lyle and her husband Robert James of Miami, FL; 3 grandchildren, Jane Eubank, Juliet Ashley, and Amy Lyle; 3 great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Fritz and his wife Freida of Meadville; and 2 nieces and 2 nephews.  She was preceded in death by a sister, June Crooks.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.

A funeral service will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. John Scott, Pastor of Grace United Methodist Church officiating.

Burial will be in Greendale Cemetery.
