Betty Mae (Wellman) Wilhelm

August 25, 1929 — June 6, 2011

Mary H. Coblentz, 75, of Townville and a resident of the Crawford County Care Center for the past 11 years, died there Thursday, June 9, 2011 following a period of declining health.

She was born October 9, 1935 in Hartville, OH a daughter of Martin and Lizzie Miller Hershberger.  She married Henry H. Coblentz May 26, 1955 and he survives.

She worked as a private housekeeper for several area families.  She attended the Marlboro School in Marlboro, OH and had been a member of Valley View Mennonite Church in Spartansburg.  She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.  She also enjoyed cooking and gardening.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, Henry of 56 years, include: six children, Wayne Coblentz and his wife Cheryl of Rock Hill, SC, Donald R. Coblentz and his wife Mary of Centerville, PA, Marvin F. Coblentz and his wife Twyla of Ault, CO, Kenneth L. Coblentz and his wife Paula of Corry, Karen S. Sullivan and her husband Richard of Townville and Twila Thoman and her husband Pat of Uniontown, OH; thirteen grandchildren, Kevin Coblentz, Michael Coblentz, Jeremy Coblentz, Joshua Coblentz, Ryan Coblentz, Jesse Coblentz, Wanda Coblentz, Justin Sullivan, Christopher Sullivan, Jennifer Halsey, Heather Duke, Samuel Thoman and Brooke Thoman; nine great grandchildren; three sisters, Sarah Yoder of Uniontown, OH, Gertrude Hershberger of Canton, OH and Judy Dever and her husband Bob of Uniontown, OH; three brothers, Al Hershberger of Alliance, OH, Roy Hershberger of Canton, OH and Art Hershberger and his wife Ann of Uniontown, OH and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jake Hershberger and a sister, Fannie Hershberger.

Calling hours will be Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.

The funeral service will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Valley View Mennonite Church, 24313 State Hwy 89, Spartansburg.

Interment will be in Valley View Mennonite Cemetery.
