Beulah Grauel Thomas

Mrs. Beulah Grauel Thomas, 93, widow of Robert Weller Thomas, died Thursday, March 15, 1984, at United Methodist Home and Nursing Hospital.

She was born at Sharpsburg, July 5, 1890, a daughter of William S. and Mary M. Fleiner Grauel.  She married her husband in 1917.

Mrs. Thomas was a teacher at Aspinwall High School.  She was a member of Stone United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women's Society, Meadville Women's Club, Ladies Advisory Council of City Hospital, Philo Mathesian Literary Club and Friday Literary Club.  She was a 1913 graduate of Allegheny College, and while at Allegheny, she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa Scholastic Fraternity and Kappa Alpha Theta social fraternity.

Survivors include a son, Robert W. Thomas, Jr. of Meadville; a daughter, Mrs. Stevenson (Sylvia) Mountsier of Timberlake, IL; a niece; five grandchildren and two great-grandsons.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Frank P. (Florence G.) Miller.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
