Beverly L. Lojek

Beverly L. Lojek, 58, of 31280 Guys Mills Rd., Guys Mills, died Thursday, August 23, 2001 at Meadville Medical Center following a long term illness.

She was born in Guys Mills, December 8, 1942 a daughter of the late Robert L. and Sara M. Reed Smith.  She married Frank Lojek April 21, 1962.

She was a 1960 graduate of Randolph High School and retired in 2000 as the lead teacher at Saegertown Head Start after 27 years of service.  She was also a Past Worthy Matron of the Golden Crown Chapter, Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors, in addition to her husband of 39 years include: two daughters, Shelly Hyldahl and her husband Martin of Guys Mills and Tracey Echols and her husband Dennis of Townville; a sister, Bonnie Lenhart and her husband Lester of Guys Mills; two brothers, Harold Smith and his wife Shirley of Guys Mills and Ronald Smith and his wife Karla of Junction City, KS and four grandchildren, Jeremia Hyldahl, Sarirose Hyldahl, Alivia Hyldahl and Nichelle Echols.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph L. “Butch” Smith and a stepfather, J.O. Brown.

Calling hours will be Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut St., Meadville, PA.

The funeral and committal service will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Kimball, pastor of United Evangelical Free Church of Guys Mills, officiating.

Burial will be in Radle Cemetery, Randolph Twp.
