Blake Adsit

December 22, 1929 — June 15, 1998

Blake Adsit, 68, of Cochranton, died suddenly Monday, June 15, 1998 at Meadville Medical Center.

He was born December 22, 1929 in Geneva, a son of W. Blake and Margaret (Holland) Adsit.  He married Joyce Sorger, Septmeber 20, 1952.  She survives.

He served as Crawford County Clerk of Courts for 28 years retiring in December 1997.  He was a graduate of Geneva Public Schools and was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors in addition to his wife include, two daughters, Linda Adist of Conneaut Lake and Melody Beish of Cochranton; a sister, Mildred Warren of Cochranton; a brother, Howard Adist of Cochranton; and three grandchildren, Brandy, Crystal and Ryan Beish.  He was preceded in death by a brother, W. Roy Adist.

A private funeral and committal service will be held Thursday at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville, with the Dr. John V. Edwards, Interim Pastor of Corry Presbyterian Church, officiating.

Burial will in Geneva Cemetery.

A public memorial service will be held at a time to be announced.

The family suggests memorials be made to the American Lung Association of N/WPA, 352 W. 8th St., Erie, PA 16502.
