Blanche D. Leech, 96, of Meadville, died Sunday, April 5, 1987, at Wesbury United Methodist Community, where she had resided for the past three months.
Mrs. Leech was born in Grand Valley, March 7, 1891, a daughter of James E. and Lillian D. Elderkin Daniels. She married Joseph P. Leech September 12, 1916. He preceded her in death May 4, 1961.
She was employed for several years as a teacher in Bradford. She received her teaching in Bradford. She received her teaching certificate from the former Edinboro Normal School. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and Highland Park Chapter 403, Order of the Eastern Star, Tonawanda, NY.
Survivors include three sons, Daniel J., Robert M. and Thomas E. Leech, all of Meadville; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Dennig and Miss Iva Daniels. both of Zelienople; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother and one great-grandson.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
