Blanche M. Hallett

Blanche M. Hallett, 90, of Wesbury United Methodist Community, formerly of Canton, a former teacher, died Thursday, August 6, 1992, at Meadville Medical Center.

She was born in Jones Mills, October 1, 1901, a daughter of Charles E. and Lillian Heare McCauley.  She married Daniel M. Hallett, June 15, 1935.  He preceded her in death.

She was a school teacher and librarian in Canton public schools and also served as a librarian at Canton Public Library.  She was a piano teacher.  She was a member of Church of Christ in Canton, the Canton Order of the Eastern Star, and the National Guild of Piano Teachers.  She graduated from Albright College in 1927.

Survivors include a son, Daniel M. Hallett, Jr. of Meadville; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Penelope (Penny) Krepps; plus several brothers and sisters.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in East Canton Cemetery, Canton.
