Bonita (Bonnie) Wasson, 75, of Meadville, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2016 at the Marquette Hospice House.
She was born December 10, 1940 in Meadville, a daughter of Charles and Esther H. McMillen Hutchinson. She married Jack H. Wasson June 6, 1959 and he preceded her in death August 1, 1999.
Bonnie was a 1958 graduate of Saegertown High School and attended Grove City College. She worked as the office manager for the dental practice of Dr. Dietz and Dr. Bournias for 25 years.
Bonnie was an active member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Dr. Debbie Wasson of Cottonwood, AZ and Denise Stitt and her husband Randy of Newville, PA; two sons, Donald P. Wasson and his companion Rose Reagle of Meadville and Larry Wasson and his companion Cindy Maziarz of Meadville; five grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Aidan Christopher Wasson and a son-in-law, Marlin E. Negley.
Calling hours will be Monday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE.
The funeral service will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Kent Haines, Pastor of Cochranton Community Church, officiating.
Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church (for the Shoe Box Ministry), 353 Chestnut St., Meadville, PA 16335.
