Bonnie J. Smock

Bonnie J. Catalano Smock, 67, of Meadville died at home surrounded by her family Tuesday, August 22, 2017. She was born May 23, 1950 in Meadville a daughter of Arthur A. and Eva L. Chase Catalano. She had been married to Edward Smock. She was a graduate of Meadville High School and worked as an inspector at Maloney Tool, in registration at Meadville Medical Center, in the office of the Crawford County Historical Society, for the Pass It On Program and as inspector at Multi Tool. She enjoyed the outdoors, biking, zip lining, sky diving and bungee jumping. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and was an avid Pittsburgh Penguin fan. She is survived by her son, Jeffery Smock and his wife Amber of Meadville; a daughter, Jody Aylsworth and her husband Brian of Meadville; four grandchildren, Joshua Smock, Alivia Smock, Taylor Aylsworth and Jarrett Aylsworth; three sisters, Linda Snyder and her husband George of Meadville, Lori Williams and her husband Romie of Meadville and Judy Williams and her companion Ron Gray of Meadville; two brothers, Arthur Catalano and his wife Milly of Cleveland and Gary Catalano of Meadville and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Kelly Diane Catalano and her former husband, Edward Smock. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville. The funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Gerald Walton, Pastor of First Baptist Church and long-time family friend, officiating.
