Bonnie Kay Boyd, 58, of Maple Dr., Saegertown, died Friday, May 27, 2005 at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Montefiore, following complications from recent transplant surgery.
She was born October 6, 1946 in Fort Wayne, IN, a daughter of the late Emerson and Viola Reed Baughman. She married Charles Eugene Boyd in 1995.
She worked for several years at Greenleaf Corporation, Saegertown in inspection and packaging. She was a member of Saegertown Community Church and she enjoyed gardening.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include 4 sisters, Arlos Scofield of LaPorte, IN; Betty Muffley of Ohio; Janet Morgan of Marshall, IN; and Beverly Bennitt of LaPorte, IN; 2 brothers, Larry Baughman of Marshall, IN and Neil Baughman of Logansport, IN; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by an adopted son, Peter Ford and a brother, Emory Baughman, Jr.
Calling hours will be Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.
A funeral service will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Haemer, Pastor of Saegertown Community Church officiating.
Additional calling hours will be Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Snyder Funeral Home, 402 E. Church Street, Ligonier with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. officiated by the Rev. Ray Hileman, Pastor of First Church of the Brethren.
Interment will be in Ligonier Valley Cemetery, Ligonier.
