Bonnie L. Tucker

Bonnie L. Tucker, 73 of Jackson Center, passed away on January 7, 2019 at the Caring Place in Franklin. Bonnie was born on August 8, 1945 in Grove City to the late Thomas and Emma Cameron Polick. She was a graduate of Lakeview High School and worked for many years at Toby’s Pizza as a cook and a manager. Bonnie in her earlier years was an active member in the New Vernon Grange, she enjoyed volunteering at the Grange Fair in Mercer every year. She enjoyed knitting, having made many afghans over the years for family and friends. She loved to square dance and dancing to polkas. She was an excellent cook and spent many hours working on the farm, feeding the calves was her favorite. She loved to travel, watch western movies and read western books. Most of all she loved her grandchildren and attending any event she could that they were involved in. Bonnie is survived by her children, Robert Clayton II of Sandy Lake, Thomas Clayton and wife Lucy of Jackson Center, Cheri Slater of Sandy Lake, and Melissa Miller of Mercer, grandchildren Kyle Clayton and wife Trista, Andrew Clayton, Adam Clayton, Sarah Slater, Wyatt Slater, and Alyssa Haag and husband Brian, great-grandchildren Colton, Dusty, and Madison, sisters Barb Moore of Girard, OH, Donna Magargee and husband Gary of Jackson Center, and Linda Carothers of Jackson Center, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Merle Tucker, and her brother, David Polick. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Black Funeral Home of STONEBORO, 99 Franklin Street, where family and friends are welcome from 1-3 pm on Saturday, January 12, A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 3 pm.
