Brad M. Stockholm

Brad M. Stockholm, 61, of Meadville died at home Tuesday, July 23, 2013.

He was born August 15, 1951 in Batavia, NY a son of H. Mason and Jane Kirby Stockholm.

He was a 1969 graduate of Meadville Area Senior High.  After graduation, he started his 43 year career on the railroad, first for the Bessemer and Lake Erie, which was subsequently acquired by the Canadian National Railway..  He retired in 2012 as Train Master.  He was a very hard worker and in his younger years he would tinker with his cars.

He is survived by two sisters, Lynn Nies of Aliquippa, PA and Kathy Stockholm of Baltimore, MD; a nephew, Matthew Nies and his wife Lindsay of Butler; a niece, Jennifer Clark and her husband Bob of Hopewell, PA; two great nieces, Emilee Clark and Lexie Clark and a great nephew, Mason Clark.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Calling hours will be Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.

The funeral service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. David Brumagin, officiating.

Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
