Bruce Allen Marvin, Sr., 80, of Meadville and a resident of Rolling Fields since mid November died Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at the Meadville Medical Center.
He was born June 4, 1940 in Titusville a son of Elmer B. and Marjorie DeRemer Marvin. He was a 1959 graduate of Townville High School and worked as a meat cutter at several area stores, including the former A&P and County Market, Giant Eagle, Valesky’s Market and Ray’s Market in Linesville. He had also served as the Dog Warden in Townville. In his retirement, he delivered auto parts for Hovis and O’Reilly Auto Parts.
He was an avid Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers fan and also enjoyed hunting, golfing and bowling. He was very outgoing and would befriend most anyone especially the ladies. He also enjoyed morning coffee with the guys at McDonald’s and Burger King. The family would like to thank the staff and care-givers at Rolling Fields and Meadville Medical Center Transitional Care and Emergency Dept. for the wonderful care given to Bruce.
Survivors, include: ten children, Tom Brady (Nita) of Scranton, PA, Kathy Trujillo of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, Bruce Marvin, Jr. of Lakeland, FL, Michael Marvin (Wanda) of Lakeland, FL, Lisa Luker of Lakeland, FL, Tina Steele of Meadville, Lisa McCray of Florida, Duane Marvin (Julie) of Meadville, Daniel Marvin (Whitney) of Meadville and Heather Soult (Joshua) of Meadville; two sisters, Patricia Sites (Bobby) of Dover, DE and Janet Frutiger (George) of Townville and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, David and Robert Marvin.
Private family services will be held at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville. The family will announce a Celebration of Life service at a later date.
Interment will be in Troy Center Cemetery.
