Burton J. Fisher

October 27, 1887 — February 21, 1967

Burton J. Fisher, 79, of Meadville, died at City Hospital Tuesday, February 21, 1967, after suffering a stroke Sunday.

He was born at Sayre, October 27, 1887, a son of John and Ida Higgins Fisher.

Mr. Fisher was a machinist for the Erie Railroad until 1934 when he became a tool and die maker for Talon, Inc., retiring in 1951.  In recent years, he was associated with the Meadville Bus Station.

He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Elk Lodge and Harm Jan Huidekoper Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars.  He was a member of Crawford Masonic Lodge 234 and a past master of the lodge.  Mr. Fisher was a life-member of the Moose Lodge.

He is survived by a son, Roberts B. of Park Ridge, IL and two granddaughters.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Woodlawn National Cemetery, Elmira, NY.
