Burton M. Parks

Burton M. Parks, 57, of Conneaut Lake, PA died at his residence Monday, December 17, 2001.

He was born January 7, 1944 in Winterburn, Clearfield County, PA, the son of Clair and Mary Hunt Parks.  He married Melvina Lockard August 7, 1965 at Steffy Chapel in Rossiter, PA.  She survives.

Burton was a member of the National Guard from 1963 to 1968 and was of the Protestant faith.

He worked for Viscose of Meadville for 20 years, Dalkemper's of Meadville for 7 years and was employed for the past 9 years by Wal-Mart of Meadville until his illness.

He was a life member and past president of Conneaut Lake Boro Fire Department.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Deanna Holbrook (Thomas) of Conneaut Lake; his parents, Clair and Mary Hunt Parks of Franklin; two sisters, Patricia Roseberry (Bruce) of Franklin and Donna Feeley (Bill) of Franklin; two grandchildren, Dalton Holbrook and Molly Holbrook; two sisters-in-law, Janice Lunger (Ray) of Punxsutawney and Cynthia Simmers (Allen) of Dayton, PA and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services were held with the Waid-Coleman Funeral Home.
