C. Edward Peterson

C. Edward Peterson, 81, of Meadville, died at his residence Wednesday, July 15, 1998.

He was born January 6, 1917 in Deercreek Township, Mercer Co., a son of the late Hudson and Laura Wagner Peterson.  He married Elizabeth Alexander September 4, 1937.  She preceded him in death May 4, 1977.

Mr. Peterson worked at Talon, retiring as a machinist following 43 years of service.  He was a member and active in the machinist union local #110.  He was a member of Masonic Lodge #234; Scottish Rite Bodies of New Castle; Zem Zem Shrine Temple, Erie and Crawford Co. Shrine Club.  He was a member of Elks Lodge #219.

He was of the Wesleyan Methodist fath.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. David (Elizabeth) Joyce of Woodbridge, VA and Barbara M. Schreider of Berkley, CA; two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Amy Joyce; one brother, Wallace Peterson of Cochranton and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by his wife; three brothers, Judson, Theodore and Ralph Peterson; three sisters, Sylvia Wilcox, Mary Peterson and Winifred Williams and one half-brother, Albert Wilcox.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
