C. Leroy Neff

March 25, 1907 — March 26, 1994

C. LeRoy Neff, 87, retired turbine operator and resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community, died Saturday, March 26, 1994, at Wesbury following a lengthy illness.

He was born at Covode, Indiana County, March 25, 1907, a son of Charles A. and Libbie Warnshuis Neff.  He married Marjorie Salen, March 18, 1942.  She survives.

He retired in 1972 from the former FMC Corp. where he had been employed for 36 years as a turbine operator.  He was a member of Stone United Methodist Church where he was a former choir member, usher, and administrative board member.  He was a member of Crawford Masonic Lodge 234, Coudersport Scottish Rite Bodies, Junior Order of United American Mechanics, Crawford County Sportsman's Council and life member of Meadville Sportsman's Club.  He was a 1926 graduate of Punxsutawney High School and a 1930 graduate of Allegheny College.  He was an avid hunter, fisherman and bowler for many years.

In addition to his wife, survivors are one sister, Jane Ball of Meadville; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Francis Neff.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
