C. Meryl Thomas

The Rev. C. Meryl C. Thomas, 41, of Cochranton, died at Roswell Park Memorial Institute, Friday, July 23, 1982, following an illness of eight months.

He was born at Titusville August 13, 1940, a son of Deones and Phyllis Flaugh Thomas.  He married Mary Ann Dixon June 30, 1961.

He had been pastor at McDaniels Corners Bible Church since 1963 and also was principle of Living Water Christian School.

A 1962 graduate of Bob Jones University, Greensboro, SC, he was a member of Keystone Christian Educators Assn. and president Pennsylvania Division of American Council of Christian Churches.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Deborah Ann at home; two sons, Stephen Meryl and Timothy Carl, also at home; his parents of Cochranton and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Peters Cemetery.
