C. Raymond Corliss

October 18, 1909 — January 1, 1753

C. Raymond Corliss, 71, of Meadville, was dead on arrival at City Hospital Thursday, February 26, 1981, following an apparent heart attack suffered at his home.

He was born in Townville on October 18, 1909, a son of Clinton and Anna Winton Corliss.  He married Dorothy McKay.

He retired from the engineering department of Talon, a division of Textron, following 46 years of service.

He was a member of Townville Baptist Church and a member of Meadville Country Club.  He graduated from Grove City College and was a US Army veteran of World War II, serving in Europe.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Charles Raymond, Jr. of Fairview; two sisters, Mrs. C. P. (Catherine) Toohey of Meadville and Mrs. Donald (Margaret) Soules of Bartlesville, OK; two brothers, Norman of Greenville, SC and Harland of Townville; a cousin and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held at Waid Funeral home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
