Carl E. Rounds

Carl E. Rounds, 78, of Meadville, died at Spencer Hospital on Sunday, July 4, 1971, after an extended illness.

He was born at Jefferson, OH, on April 8, 1893, a son of Wilber and Adeline Church Rounds.  He married Floye Kightlinger on June 1, 1915.

Mr. Rounds was employed as a stationary engineer for 15 years by Abex Corp. before his retirement.  Prior to his employment at Abex, he worked as a brakeman and switchman for several railroads in the area.  He was a member of Meadville Fraternal Order of Eagles, Number 429.

Survivors include his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Maxine) Calvin of Meadville and Mrs. Robert (June) Allen of Terre Haute, IN; two sons, Wilber and Carl R. Rounds, both of Meadville; one sister, Mrs. Lola Jenness of Conneaut, OH and eleven grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Kiser Hill Cemetery.
