Carl H. Barker, 82, of Meadville, died Monday, November 26, 1984, at Spencer Hospital after a period of failing health.
He was born at Duquesne October 30, 1902, a son of Frank and Sarah Shearer Barker. He married Marcelline J. Stebbins September 30, 1933.
He retired from Talon in 1967, where he worked for 33 years as a chain machine operator. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, a member and past Master of Lodge 408 F & A.M., and a member of Royal Arch Chapter 191. He also belonged to the Meadville and Black Ash Sportsmens' Clubs, and the National Rifle Assoc. He was director of the Masonic Building Assoc. and served in the US Navy from 1921 to 1924.
He is survived by his wife and a brother, James Barker of Albuquerque, NM. He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Services were held at Robert W. Waid Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Funka, pastor of Grace United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
