Carol A. Krupa Kenna, 60, of Conneaut Lake, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2009 at Meadville Medical Center. She was born in Pittsburgh October 26, 1948, a daughter of the late William A. and Elizabeth Lenkiewicz Krupa. She married Jack C. Kenna, Sr. October 26, 1968. A graduate of North Hills High School, Pittsburgh, she was employed by Laidlaw Transportation, Pittsburgh for 20 years. After relocating to Conneaut Lake, she was briefly employed by the State Correctional Institution, Cambridge Springs and subsequently with Canteen Services at the Crawford County Quality Living Center, Saegertown for 10 years. Carol was a member of the Conneaut Lake Park Volunteer Fire Dept. Station 5, was an avid bingo player, enjoyed trips to the casinos, and especially time spent with family and close friends. Survivors, in addition to her husband Jack, include a son, Jack C. Kenna, Jr. and his wife Kristy of Erie; 3 granddaughters, Lauren, Krista, and Emma Hirth; a grandson, Ryan Matthew Kenna; a great-granddaughter, Isabella; a son-in-law, Douglas Hirth of Pittsburgh; 2 brothers, William Krupa, Jr. and his wife Linda of Johnstown and Kenneth Krupa and his wife Marcy of Pittsburgh; 2 sisters, Susan Keller and her husband Kevin of North Versailles and Barbara McKensie of Pittsburgh; her mother-in-law, Grace Kenna-Krupa of Conneaut Lake; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa A. Hirth. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Waid-Coleman Funeral Home, 12422 Conneaut Lake Rd., Conneaut Lake. A funeral service will be Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Fr. Steve Anderson of Our Lady Queen of the Americas Church officiating and assisted by Sister Natalie Rossi. Interment will be in Northside Catholic Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery, Pittsburgh. Memorials may be made to Conneaut Lake Park Volunteer Fire Dept. Station 5, 11965 State Hwy 618, Conneaut Lake, PA 16316.
