Carol Jean Bird Schiller

Carol Jean Bird Schiller, 50, of Townville, died Tuesday, May 11, 1993, at Meadville Medical Center following an extended illness.

She was born in Meadville, September 25, 1942, a daughter of David F. and Marybelle Horak Bird.  She married Frank J. Schiller March 30, 1968.  He survives.

She was employed as a day care mother for Penncrest School District for three years.  She previously was a nurse at Springs Manor in Cambridge Springs for 10 years.  She was a member of United Evangelical Free Church of Guys Mills.  She was a 1960 graduate of the former Randolph-East Mead High School.  She graduated from St. Vincent Hospital Nursing School in Erie as a licensed practical nurse.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two stepsons, Mark Schiller and Gary Schiller, both of Erie; her mother, Marybelle Bird of Guys Mills; a sister, Mrs. Harold (Sharon) Hayes of Meadville; a brother, Lyle Bird of Guys Mills and three grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Union Cemetery, Guys Mills.
