Caroline Miller Hodge

June 22, 1853 — January 1, 1753

Mrs. Caroline Miller Hodge, 85, died Thursday forenoon at the home of her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Phoebe Miller, of Meadville, after a short illness.

Her husband, Jesse M. Hodge, died about four years ago.  Her first husband was Thomas L. Miller.

Mrs. Hodge spent her early life in Mercer County, and her later years in Meadville, although her lived in many communities during her life.  She belonged to the Methodist Episcopal denomination and was at one time a member of Randolph Grange at Guys Mills.

Surviving are a son, George Miller of Elyria, OH; a sister, Mrs. Lewis Miller of Sandy Lake; a brother, William Elliott of Carlton; a step-daughter, Mrs. Minnie Hays of Guys Mills; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greenlawn Cemetery.
