Carolyn L. Gulick

Carolyn L. Gulick, 81, of Meadville, died Saturday, December 4, 2010 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Meadville November 21, 1929, a daughter of Harold and Audrey Clark Bowen.  She married Richard Gulick July 12, 1947 and he preceded her in death May 13, 1999.

Carolyn was a 1947 graduate of Meadville High School.  She was employed at various places including as a crossing guard for the City of Meadville for 25 years.  She was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2006, Meadville and West Mead #2 Volunteer Fire Department.  She was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians.

She was a member of First Christian Church and was affiliated with First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include a son, Robert Gulick and his wife Annette of Meadville; a daughter, Dinah Minnis and her husband David of Meadville, three grandsons, Joel Gulick and his wife April of Arlington, VA, Andrew Gulick of Wilmington, NC, and Trent Jandik and his wife Tina of Rochester, NY; twin great-grandsons, Paul and Benjamin Gulick of Arlington, VA; a companion, William McGowan of Blooming Valley; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Patsy Lee Gulick and a brother, Robert Bowen.

Calling hours will be Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.

The funeral service will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Brian Jensen, Pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Greendale Cemetery.
