Carolyn F. (Boyd) Miller

Carolyn F. Miller, 90, of Guys Mills, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018.

She was born March 6, 1928 in Guys Mills, a daughter of Howard and Florence Shaffer Boyd.  She married Wilford E. Miller June 2, 1961 and he preceded her in death June 25, 2014.

Carolyn was a 1947 graduate of Randolph High School.  She was a homemaker and had worked at the American Viscose and Boyd’s Store.  She was a member of the Guys Mills Women’s Club, was an avid gardener and wonderful cook, and was a kind and loving friend and neighbor to everyone.

Carolyn was a member of the United Evangelical Free Church of Guys Mills and its Ever-Lea Guild and Ladies Aid.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Klingler and her husband Neil of Guys Mills; a son, Raymond Miller and his wife Kelli of Longwood, FL; a step-daughter, Linda Lenhart and her husband Arthur of Lancaster; thirteen grandchildren, Terry and Sharon Brown, Gregory Lenhart, Tammy Rumfola, Timothy Lenhart, Miranda Sewell, Shane, Sarah, and Nate Klingler, and Olivia, Emma, Samuel, and Anna Miller; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Jean Rumsey of Meadville; three brothers, Russell Boyd and his wife Virginia of Guys Mills, Dale Boyd and his wife Karol of Sanford, NC, and David Boyd and his wife Marilyn of Meadville; a sister-in-law, Anna Mae Boyd of Meadville; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Boyd and John (Jack) Boyd and his wife Laura; a sister, Eloise Kosanovic and her husband Mitch; a brother-in-law, Gene Rumsey; and a step-daughter, Barbara Brown Elefsiades.

Calling hours will be Sunday, May 27th from 2 to 4 p.m. at the ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE where the funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m. with the Rev. David Coddington, Pastor of the United Evangelical Free Church of Guys Mills, officiating.

Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Guys Mills.
