Carrie May Steen

Mrs. Carrie May Steen, 76, of Meadville, wife of William B. Steen, died Saturday, May 15, 1971, at City Hospital after an illness of four months.

She was born at Milton on January 12, 1895, a daughter of Harry J. and Mary Ann Kelley Hause.  She married Mr. Steen on January 15, 1915.  Mrs. Steen was a member of First Baptist Church and was past worthy matron of Mead Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, and was the first mother adviser of Meadville Assembly, Order of the Rainbow for Girls.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. David G. (Bernice) Snodgrass of Meadville; two granddaughters, Mrs. David (Carol) Cease of Meadville and Mrs. Dominick (Kathleen) Marendo of Jamestown, NY and three great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
