Cathryn Jean Rearick

October 25, 1931 — February 8, 2019

Cathryn Jean Rearick, 87, of McConnell Street, Grove City, went home to her Heavenly Father on February 8, 2019 at Butler Memorial Hospital. She was born October 25, 1931 in Homestead, PA to Mildred and William Lanchester. She stayed home to raise her children, once they were grown she worked for many years at OPM in Boyers and for Vital Statistics for the Navy in New Castle. A resident of Orchard Manor, she was beloved by staff and her numerous close friends. Jean was an active participant in every activity and organized a coffee club with several dear friends. She will be sorely missed by all. Jean was a member of Millbrook Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed watching Westerns and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Jean is survived by her husband, Melvin “Dewey” Rearick of Grove City, son Rev. Alan Bugos and wife Karen of Maple Crest, NY, daughters Diana Gray of North Huntingdon, PA, and Rev. Dorothy Densmore of Nelson, PA, step children Barbara Beiter of Jackson, TN, and Mark Rearick of Warner Robins, GA, fifteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, sister Doris Morris and husband Ernie of Lancaster, OH, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her son, Robert Bugos. While her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren are scattered throughout the US from Connecticut to New Mexico, they always held one another close in their hearts. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Black Funeral Homes, Stoneboro & Sandy Lake. A memorial service will take place at Millbrook Presbyterian Church, 1232 Millbrook Road, Jackson Center, PA 16133 on Saturday, February 23 at 1:00 PM with the Reverend Evelyn Beebe, Church Pastor, and Reverend Earl Dykes, Chaplain at Orchard Manor, officiating.
