Cecil A. Pratt

Cecil A. Pratt, 68, of Guys Mills, Richmond Township, died Wednesday, April 16, 1980, at United Methodist Home and Nursing Hospital where he had been a patient for four and one-half months.  He had been ill for the past year.

He was born in Richmond Township, December 3, 1911, a son of Herbert W. and Della Kennen Pratt.  He married Alma Waid in 1930.  She died in 1956.

He was formerly employed for 15 years with the Pennsylvania Department of Highways as an equipment operator.  He also was formerly employed in the spinning department of American Viscose Corp. and was self-employed as a farmer in Richmond Township.

He was a member of Richmond Grange, Independent Order of Odd Fellows of New Richmond, West Mead 2 Volunteer Fire Department and Lyona Cemetery Assn.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Troutner of Saegertown; three sons, William C. of Blooming Valley, Stanley E. of Meadville and Gordon C. of Guys Mills; a brother, Robert of Southbury, CT; eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Lyona Cemetery.
