Cecile Marie Stewart

Cecile Marie Stewart, 72, of Meadville, died unexpectedly, Sunday, February 11, 2001 at Horizon Health Systems, Greenville Campus.

She was born in Guys Mills, November 13, 1928, a daughter of Frank and Alice Salmon Childs.  She enjoyed 51 years of marriage with Thomas M. Stewart, whom she married June 16, 1949 and he survives.

She was a 1946 graduate of Randolph High School and then attended God's Bible School and College of Cincinnati, OH.  She attended the Church of Nazarene.  She enjoyed quilting, genealogical research, gardening and her family.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include three daughters, Wilma Lee Burton (Clair) of Centerville, Nancy Rose Groff (Rick) of Westfield, NY and Shirley Jane Geisler (John) of Cochranton; a son, Thomas Myles Stewart (Connie) of Union City; two sisters, Clara Lucile Stallard (Dwight) of Conneaut Lake and Marilyn Joyce Mears (Fred) of Meadville; a brother, Norman Clyde Childs (Arlean) of Olney, IL and fifteen grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Union Cemetery, Guys Mills.
