Charles A. Addleman, Sr.

September 14, 1913 — June 20, 2005

Charles A. Addleman, Sr., 91, of 739 Seminole Rd., Meadville, died Monday, June 20, 2005 at Meadville Medical Center.

He was born September 14, 1913 in Turtle Creek, PA, a son of the late Frank and Nellie Addleman.  He married Thelma Ferguson on June 10, 1939 and she preceded him in death February 19, 2001.

He was a 1931 graduate of Turtle Creek High School.  He worked at Talon as a Chain Machine Operator, retiring in 1978.

He was a member of Stone United Methodist Church of Meadville.

He was an active participant at the Meadville Senior Center and was a member of the Kon-Yacht Kickers and the Rambling Squares.  Also, he was an avid bridge player and golfer.

Survivors include 1 daughter, Nancy Baker and her husband James of Saegertown; 1 son, Charles A. Addleman, Jr. and his wife Deborah of Pittsburgh; 5 grandchildren, Brian Baker and his wife Elizabeth; Trisha and Doug Baker; Jennifer Addleman; and Jill Ives and her husband Eric; 2 great-grandchildren, Gavin Baker and Justin Ives; 1 sister, Pauline Roberts of Olean, NY; and his companion, Katie Feleppa of Meadville.  In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

Calling hours are today (Wednesday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.

The funeral will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Walter Frankenberry, Pastor of Pleasantview Alliance Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Greendale Cemetery.
