Charles Alzingre, 87, died at his home on North St., Meadville, Friday, May 30, 1958, following an illness of several years. He lived his entire life in the community.
He was born on July 30, 1870, in Meadville a son of Francis Xavier and Catherine Overmoyer Alzingre. He married Stella Brown April 22, 1897. He was employed as a farmer, confectionery store operator and a real state agent. Alzingre was a charter member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Meadville.
He is survived by his widow; two children, Iva Kebort (William J.) of Meadville and Alvin F. Alzingre of Fairfax, CA; three grandchildren, Mrs. Bette Hanaway of Erie, Mrs. W. R. Holtzhauser of Meadville and James A. Kebort of Meadville. A brother, William, died just eight days ago.
Services were held at the Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
