Charles "Bud" Lee Harkins

Charles “Bud” Lee Harkins, 82, of Otter Creek Township, Greenville, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2023 at The Grove at Greenville.

Bud was born on April 10, 1940 to the late Paul W. and Bernice I. (Donahue) Harkins in Dixonville, PA.

Bud attended Westview High School in Pittsburgh.  In the earlier years following his graduation he worked in the mills in Pittsburgh.  He then went on to operate a dairy farm in Portersville for 17 years.  Bud then owned and operated a small engine repair shop for over 20 years in Jackson Center.  In his free time Bud enjoyed woodworking, watching NASCAR, going on bus trips, and going to the casino.

He married his beloved wife, Eleanor Ann Bauer on October 8, 1958, who survives.

In addition to his wife, Bud is survived by his daughter, Ilona A. McPherson, a son, Charles J. (Caralyn) Harkins; and a grandchild, Carissa K. Harkins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, of Stoneboro.  As per Bud’s wishes there will be no services.

Interment will take place at a later date at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
