Charles D. Byham, 95, of Meadville, died Wednesday, February 11, 1987, at Rolling Fields Nursing Home, Conneautville.
He was born in Randolph Township, September 24, 1891, a son of Clifton P. and Mary Morrison Byham. He married Mabel Walters, August 14, 1912. She survives.
Mr. Byham had been self-employed as a farmer for 40 years in Randolph Township. In 1953, he and his wife moved to Obi, NY, spending winters in Florida, and moved back to Meadville in 1981. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Mrs. Carl (Bernice) Lackey of Olean, NY and Mrs. Robert (Mary) Powell of Sarasota, FL; two sons, Wayne Byham of Lompoc, CA and Frank Byham of Meadville; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Rae and a grandson, David.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
