Charles E. Crouch, 73, of Long Beach, CA, formerly of Meadville, died Sunday, December 4, 1960, at Los Angeles Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
He was born in Meadville, March 14, 1887, a son of H. E. and Mary E. Crouch. He retired two years ago. While living in Meadville - until about 15 years ago - he worked at the Keystone View Co., A & P Tea Co. and Grand Union Tea Co.
An Army veteran of World War I, Crouch was a member of Long Beach Baptist Church. As a youth, he was affiliated with the Methodist Church and participated in choral activities in this area. He had lived in the Los Angeles area for several years.
He is survived by his widow, the former Nellie Hibbard of Meadville; a daughter, Alice Stowell of Sao Paulo, Brazil; seven sons, Robert C. of Birmingham, MI, Wilfred F. of Long Beach, CA, Orson H. of Anderson, IN, Floyd L. of Laredo, TX, Walter W. of DuBois, Leland E. of Gainesville, FL, and Delos W. of San Francisco; twenty-four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
