Charles Homer Sanner

November 16, 1901 — April 30, 1994

Charles (Chad) Homer Sanner, 92, was an avid gardener and he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was an active volunteer at the Community Center of Crawford County. He retired in 1957 as a dairy farmer and owner after 25 years. He subsequently worked as a watchman at Meadville Malleable Iron Co. until 1968. He was a member of Wayland Baptist Church of Guys Mills. Sanner, of Guys Mills, died Saturday, April 30, 1994, at Meadville Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born in Arona, Westmoreland County, November 16, 1901, a son of Franklin Marion and Ella Mae Mensch Sanner. He married Margo Anna Chillman, September 19, 1928. She preceded him in death June 24, 1992. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. James (Ella Mae) Terrill of Vero Beach, FL, Mrs. Thomas (Margot) Heme of Guys Mills and Mrs. Neil (Grace) Bohnert of Meadville; two sons, Ronald R. Sanner of Guys Mills and Frank L. Sanner of Meadville; twelve grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles; a granddaughter; three brothers, Jesse W. Sanner, H. Earl Sanner and Clarence B. Sanner and a sister, Ruth P. Miller. Services were held at Waid Funeral Home. Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery, Wayland. Services Past Services
