Charles J. Dake, Sr.

July 1, 1907 — May 15, 2002

Charles J. Dake, Sr. 94, formerly of Reynoldsburg, OH, and a resident of Winchester Place Nursing Home, Canal Winchester, Ohio, died there Wednesday, May 15, 2002.

He was bone in Knoxville, TN, July 1, 1907, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Dake.

He married AnnaBelle Allen November 1, 1927, and she preceded him in death June 6, 1998.

He retired in 1970 as a Conductor for the Rapid Transit Authority of Cleveland, OH, after 30 years of service.

Survivors include 2 sons, Charles J. Dake, Jr. and his wife Sally of Boise, Idaho, and Michael L. Dake and his wife Margaret of Canal Winchester, OH; and 5 grandchildren, Charles J., Michael D., Christopher P., and Patricia E. Dake and Elizabeth A. James.

A calling hour will be held Saturday May 25, from 9 to 10 a.m. at Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut St., Meadville, PA.  Funeral services will follow at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. William L. Brown, visitation Pastor of Stone United Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Kiser Hill Cemetery, E. Mead Twp. Crawford Co., PA.
