Charles Lee Kightlinger, affectionately known as Chuck or Opey, passed away on January 23, 2025, at Allegheny General Hospital, after a time of illness. 

Born on August 6, 1963, in Franklin, he lived a life marked by devotion, hard work, and an unwavering love for his family and friends. His personality was truly a reflection of his caring and welcoming spirit, traits that made him so beloved to all who knew him. 

Chuck dedicated many years of his life to his career as a diesel mechanic. He approached his work with a commitment that was evident to everyone around him. In addition to his mechanical expertise, he found joy working at the Sleepy Hollow Golf Course during summer months in recent years, where he cultivated many cherished memories.A man of remarkable interests, Chuck loved the great outdoors, engaging in hunting, fishing, and golfing. These hobbies not only brought him joy but also served as a setting for bonding with those he cherished most. 

He was a devoted family man whose love for his wife Danna Kightlinger, son Charles R. Kightlinger, and daughter Elizabeth Anne Graham was evident in every moment they spent together. He delighted in his role as a grandfather, spending treasured time with his granddaughters McKenna and Mya Graham, and grandson Jacob Graham. Chuck is survived by his loving wife, Danna; his children, Charles and Elizabeth; his grandchildren, McKenna, Mya, and Jacob; his son-in-law Jacob Graham; his sister, Cindy Wells; and brothers-in-law Ray Turner and Robert Adams; as well as his beloved mother-in-law Dorothy Garlick and sister-in-law Linda Kightlinger. He is also remembered by his niece, Mary Jane Kightlinger, who was among those who held him dear.

He was predeceased by his father, Forest P. Kightlinger; his mother, Norma Jane Lewis Kightlinger; his father-in-law, Raymond Garlick; and his siblings, Dennis, Kenneth, Penny Adams, Rose Myers, along with his brother-in-law, Kenneth Kightlinger. Chuck's absence leaves a profound void, but his legacy and the values he instilled in those he loved will continue to live on.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 99 Franklin St. Stoneboro, PA, 16153. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5-7PM on Tuesday January 28 with a funeral service to follow at 7PM.
