Charles G. Koller

Charles G. Koller, 96, of Meadville, gone to be with his lord and savior on January 14, 2025. He was born in Stowe Township, McKees Rocks on January 12, 1929. 

He was a beloved husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather. 

He was preceded in death by his Bride Janet of 72 years in 2023. His parents Fred and Florence Koller, three brothers Fred, Jack, and Dan Koller and three sisters Jeannie, Florence and Carol.

He is survived by his sons, Charles (Casey) Koller and wife Lori and Duane Koller and his wife Michelle; four grandchildren, Hillary (Mitch), Wyatt (Lyndsay), Kaylee (Colin), and Elle; two great-grandchildren, Otto and Goldie.

He served in the US Army as a Regimental Medical Instructor, teaching GI’s to be medics during the Korean War. He then returned home to graduate from the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy. 

With his wife Janet, he moved to Meadville in 1955 to manage the Brown Jones Pharmacy for 4 years. He then went to Meadville city hospital to open a pharmacy department as its director for 25 years. 

He was a past member and president of the Crawford County Pharmacy association and the Northwest Hospital Pharmaceutical association. 

A member and elder of the First Presbyterian Church for 45 years, a bible study teacher for 70 years in various churches in Meadville and Pittsburgh. Also a member of Meadville Round Table for 25 years.

Calling hours will be Sunday, January 19 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in ROSE AND WAID FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE. A funeral service will be held Monday, January 20 at 11:00 a.m. with calling hours from 10:00-11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of First Presbyterian Church, 890 Liberty St., Meadville with the Rev. Loren Little, Hospice Chaplin, officiating.

Interment will be in Greendale Cemetery.
