Charles L. Crouser, Jr.

Charles L. Crouser, Jr., 78, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2022, at his home in Stoneboro.

He was born on February 17, 1944, to the late Charles Sr. and Martha Crouser. A graduate of Lakeview High School, he later completed a specialized program in Nebraska for Equine Studies. Additionally, he married his loving wife, Sandy, on December 28, 1968; she survives at home. He was also a former member of New Lebanon Community Church.

Charles served his Country by joining the United States Marine Corps. After his time of military service, he spent his career as a horse trainer, caring for horses through dentistry and acupuncture.

Charles had an affinity for fishing, hunting, and playing the banjo. He especially enjoyed racing horses at the Meadows Racetrack & Casino and the Great Stoneboro Fair.

Survivors left to cherish Charles memory include his wife, Sandy; sister Connie Mitchell of Hermitage; sons Kevin Crouser of New Lebanon, and Chad Crouser (Nicole) of Cocoa Beach, Florida; daughter Amy Crouser of Denver, Colorado; grandchildren Kayla (Matthew Buczkowski), Paedyn, Avalean, Wyatt, Miles, and Alex Crouser, Morgan Settlemire, and Kyle Scott (Cassie Schuhlen); great-grandchildren Parker and Raelynn Buczkowski.

Preceding Charles in death are his parents, as well as his sister, Dixie Kepner.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 99 Franklin Street, Stoneboro, where family and friends will be received from 4 PM – 7 PM on Friday, November 18, 2022, and from 1 PM – 2 PM on Saturday, November 19, 2022.
