Charles L. Dodge

Charles L. Dodge, 94, of Meadville, died at his home Sunday evening, December 12, 1965, after an extended illness.

Mr. Dodge was born in Athens Township on June 5, 1871, to John E. and Sarah Osgood Dodge.  He married the former Anna B. Skelton on June 5, 1894, and subsequently married Doris Cox on April 11, 1923.

He was employed a stationary engineer for the Pennsylvania Electric Co. until his retirement.

Mr. Dodge was a member of First Baptist Church and of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 504.

Survivors, in addition to his widow, include two daughters, Mrs. Fred (Ruth) Byham and Mrs. Annabelle Hughes, both of Meadville; and a stepson, Bernard Cox of Meadville.  Eight grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren also survive.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Venango Cemetery.
